Exporting References from Google Scholar
Exporting References from Google Scholar:
- Go to https://scholar.google.com/
- Click on the 3 line menu at the top left
- Click on Settings
- Under Bibliography Manager, click next to "Show links to import citations into" and select EndNote from the Dropdown box
- Click Save

here are two choices to export the citation in Scholar:
Choice 1:
When you find an article in Google Scholar, click on the (new) "Import into Endnote" link under the citation.
Choice 2:
When you find an article in Google Scholar, click on the quotation marks symbol to Cite and select EndNote at the bottom of the pop-up window.
Do this:
- Open EndNote 20
- Click “Tools”>”Import Filters”>”Open Filters Manager”
- From there, scroll down and look for “EndNote Import” - click on it and click “Edit”
- Click “Templates” on the left and under Reference Types dropdown click “Journal Article”
- Scroll through to look for %J (Journal). If there, you should be good, but if not, scroll down to the last field and hit enter.
- Click in the Field(s) cell for the new line, then click “Insert Field” at the top - select "Journal"
- Under “Tag” type in “%J”
- Close and save by clicking the small X at the top right hand corner of the page
